Pure nature - A warm welcome to Haus Höhenstein! Our organic farm with newly built holiday rooms is situated in an idyllic and absolutely sunny location at almost 1,000 m above sea level, nestled amidst the Lunz mountain world with a magnificent panoramic view of the highest peaks of the Mostviertel. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a family with children – we always look forward to your visit. There are numerous opportunities, especially for our youngest guests, to explore farm life more closely, for example, by visiting our mother cows with their calves. Furthermore, our house is the starting point for the so-called "Höhensteinrunde," a circular hiking trail with great views that leads to the summit cross of Egger Berg (1,134 m) and can be completed comfortably in two hours of walking. The Höhensteinrunde, which passes directly by the house, can also be explored with touring skis or snowshoes. The nearby Maiszinken ski area (free magic carpet for children) can be reached within 20 minutes. The ski village "Lackenhof am Ötscher" and "Hochkar" are also in the vicinity. Of course, other winter activities are also available in our region: experience nature up close on cross-country ski trails in Lunz, Lackenhof, and on the Panoramaloipe Hochreith. Relax and recuperate at the Ybbstaler Solebad or "do your body good" in the beautiful sauna world. In the evening, you can review your vacation day and make plans for your next activities with a 3-course meal and a good glass of wine in our new dining room. Conditions/Extras
Cancellations up to 14 days before arrival are free of charge. Cancellations between 14-7 days before arrival will be charged at 50% of the total cost. Cancellations within 7 days before arrival will be charged at 100% of the total cost. Payment is due on-site in cash on the day of departure.
