The Morinje Bay is a well known natural fish spawning location, and is suitable for shell farming thanks to the mixture of fresh and sea water. The bay is also known for its healing mud whose use when applied for medical purposes has been confirmed by the Committee for Health Tourism and Natural Medicines at the Academy of Medical Sciences. The village’s rich history can be seen through the remains of the early Christian church and renaissance castles, as well as a baroque altar and tower from the 16th century.
