Whether exploring or snuggling down and relaxing for a short break, romantic retreat or year round holidays, Salty Cottage is the ideal place. Sheltered in Mounts Bay and moments from the water’s edge, Harbour Lights is a 160 year old, granite fisherman’s cottage.
With maximum comfort, an open plan design, it is small, cosy, modern and well equipped, whilst retaining its original inglenook fireplace.
Although the cottage has no outside space, it is a moments walk to the harbour wall with views of the boats.
The local bus stop to Mousehole and Penzance is 2 minutes and the first eatery pub is 1 minute away. Newlyn village is a picturesque short walk along the harbour’s edge, where the local fishing fleet land their fresh catch daily.
The village has many facilities including several cafés, bakeries, fishmongers, butcher, supermarket with cash point, several pubs, cinema film house with café, cheese shop and charcuterie, wine bar, pizzeria, pasty, fish and chips, fish restaurants, art shops, Newlyn Art Gallery and café, with panoramic views of the sea and more. Newlyn is nestled in Mounts Bay, with close proximity to Mousehole, Penzance with its long promenade and heated lido swimming pool, together with Marazion with its mystical St Michael’s Mount.
The Cornish Peninsula has an abundance of places to discover, beautiful beaches and coves, surfing at Sennen, gorgeous Porthcurno and its turquoise water, the magical open air Minack Theatre overlooking the sea, St Ives, Lands End, the Lizard Peninsula, Porthleven and hidden Lamora Cove.
Not forgetting an array of National Trust properties with their stunning gardens, and...ssshhh...tranquil Penberth Cove, famed as a location for the TV series, ‘Poldark’. Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property. Free WiFi There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
