Located along a private road, there is easy access to scenic walks along miles of unspoilt heathland of the forest, where ponies and cattle wander freely along the roads. It is only a 10-minute walk to Brockenhurst which has a good range of local facilities including a butcher, greengrocer, bakers, restaurants, inns, cafés, shops and railway station. The Manorial village of Beaulieu, with its magnificent house, gardens and famous motoring museum, lies just 6 miles away.
The thriving Georgian market town of Lymington is also 6 miles away and offers an extensive range of shopping facilities, Saturday market and excellent amenities for yachtsmen, including two marinas. What better way to enjoy an afternoon exploring the boutiques and ice cream parlours lining the cobbled streets, or enjoying lunch overlooking the waterside. The ferry to the Isle of Wight can also be taken from here, and makes a lovely day trip for the family. There are many glorious sandy beaches with various watersports within easy reach, including Sandbanks and Bournemouth.
