The Cottage At Barrow Mead! When we visited this delightful cottage, we couldn't believe it is where it is and that you are actually IN Bath, well actually you're not, it's just that you are near the centre but you look out across open countryside!! As you pass through Bath, you suddenly find this little lane running alongside a school approximately 1/2 mile later and you're in the middle of nowhere, overlooking the rolling countryside of the southern Cotswolds.
Hikers, birdwatchers and those in search of peace are just as likely to enjoy this super cottage as are those looking for culture, shops and a gastronomic experience, given its proximity to the heart of Bath, which is just 15 minutes away in the bus or car. Inside, the open plan ground floor gives a real sense of space which, with the woodburning stove, is just as welcoming and snug in winter as it is cool and inviting in summer.
The private garden area overlooking the orchard and rolling countryside offers a super hideaway, while listening to birdsong.

The Cottage at Barrow Mead is in Bath, Somerset. It has been stylishly refurbished into comfortable modern rooms. The property opens up to an open-plan living room with an open-fire, fitted kitchen and dining area with a wood burning stove. Upstairs has one double bedroom and one twin bedroom with a separate family bathroom and WC. There is a private garden area overlooking the orchard and the vast countryside hills. Off road parking is available. The Cottage at Barrow Mead is idea for small families. The cottage now boasts a full-fibre connection with internet speeds around 200 mbps up and down.

Just a suggestion- drop a pin on google maps and send to give people who are not familiar with area a better idea of how to get there - yes, we ended up in wrong spot at first!
Otherwise, we loved our stay at the cottage and Bath in general. Wonderful hosts, beautiful property! Cheers

This place is a little gem .Such a beautiful position and within easy distance of Bath .It has everything you need with an amazing welcome pack too .The owners are so friendly and helpful and provide it all .Having the advantage of being so rural but also so close to the city as well makes it a must .I would definitely recommend it .

Barrow Mead is in a gloriously beautiful setting. Lovely welcome pack left. We found the beds a little uncomfortable but apart from that everything was very nice. Very easy to get to Bath, Bristol and surrounding areas. On the whole we loved it.
