The gîte features a large living area with a dining room/lounge and kitchen, opening onto the terrace (with views of the stream and forest).
From the lounge, you will also have access to two bedrooms (one with a 160cm double bed, and one with two single beds) as well as a shower room.
A laundry room is located in the basement with a washing machine and dryer.
New for 2026: The gîte will be equipped with a Nordic hot tub starting April 2026 and 4 electric bikes.
The rate includes bed linen (beds made upon arrival), end-of-stay cleaning, utilities, the Nordic hot tub, and electric bikes.
Towel linen is not provided and there is no option to add it.
An electric charging station is available at the train station in the village.
The gîte "Le Clos du Val d'Or" is located in the village of Avenay Val D'or, 10km from Épernay and its famous Avenue de Champagne, and 30km from Reims and Chalons en Champagne.
It is nestled in a green setting on the heights of the village, enclosed by walls (boundary wall all around the park).
The garden (50 ares) is crossed by a small stream and also includes a forest (approximately 1.5 hectares).
You will be the only ones on the estate.
It will be the ideal place for your stays with family or friends, offering complete peace and disconnection, yet with quick access to the riches of our department (walks in the vineyards, museums, shops, etc.).
Marc, the owner, is a winegrower and can offer you an explanation of champagne, a tour, and even a tasting if you wish.

Na een heel warme ontvangst enkele dagen heerlijk genoten van de tuin, het terras, de BBQ en de omgeving (fietstocht door de velden en omliggende champagnedorpjes & picknick op mooie uitzichtpunten).
Wij zijn hier volledig tot rust kunnen komen en komen hier heel graag nog terug!

Wunderbares , großes Naturgrundstück, Haus mit sehr schöner Aussicht in den Garten ,prima Terasse, wenn es nicht gerade so regnet wie bei unserem Aufenthalt. Insgesamt ein tolles Domizil für eine Reise in die Champagne. Sehr freundlicher Eigentümer

It was a lovely place to stay just outside the village. Quiet and a warm welcome. A great base for exploring the Champagne region. The beds were comfortable. We were able to use the vegetables grown there. A bit dusty here and there, but generally clean.
