The Old Parochial House offers the perfect place for a large family/group getaway together. You can spend a relaxing evening in the beautiful garden listening to the stream while enjoying mountain views. Clonmany is one of the most beautiful areas in Donegal. The Old Parochial House is over 100 years old and has been lovingly restored and renovated over the last two years. It has four bedrooms with king size beds with a single sofa bed in one room. All bedrooms have ensuites with shower with the master suite benefitting from a freestanding bath. There is an option for a baby cot. The sofa bed is suitable for 1 adult but 2 young children could share. We also have a separate 1 bedroom annex which can be booked separately.
It has a large living room, utility, cloak room and a large family kitchen. The grounds have landscaped gardens with tarmac driveways and patios. Outdoor furniture is provided with family games where you can enjoy your evening. Clonmany is a short 10-minute stroll from the property.
Annexe: Contains one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living area space with sofa bed sleeps 4. The annexe also has a separate entrance and patio area from the main house.
Donegal is renowned for beautiful scenic views and is part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Close to the house there are stunning beaches Tullagh Bay and Binion to name just two of many. In Tullagh Bay you can also spend the day with a surf lesson. There are also some amazing hills for walking in the Clonmany area Binion Hill being one where you can enjoy 360-degree views from the top. If you travel a little further out of Clonmany for ten minutes to Urris where there are lots of different walking trains such as the Urris Lakes loop and Butler’s Glen walk. For the more adventurous you can climb Slieve Snaght Inishowen’s highest mountain which rises to 615 meters and on a clear day from the top you can see all the way to Scotland.
Ballyliffin Golf Club is a five-minute drive away from the property this golf club is widely regarded as having the finest links complex in Ireland boasting two championship link courses.
The Famine Village in the Isle of Dough is a five-minute drive away and takes you on an informative and at time humorous journey through Irish history from the famine in the 1840’s up until the present day.
Tullagh Bay Equestrian is located ten minutes from the house and provides riding and trekking for all ages it is great fun for all the family.
The beautiful Glenevin Waterfall is a five-minute drive from the property and has off road parking. The waterfall stands at almost 40 foot tall and has a skinny cascade of freshwater. It provides a lovely ramble from the car park. Taking and enjoying a picnic is a must at one of the many benches provided or take a picnic blanket. The walk from the car park to the waterfall takes about 20 minutes.
Fort Dunree is 12km from Clonmany and is an old retired defensive fort with a military museum which all sits on the spectacular western coastline on the Inishowen Peninsula.
Malin Head is 30km north from Clonmany and the northernmost point of Ireland. The dramatic coastal headland is well worth the visit. This is also where some scenes for Star Wars were filmed at Banba’s Crown you can walk in the steps of Luke Skywalker and get a picture beside the new R2D2 road signs.
If relaxing in a typical Irish Bar is on your list of musts, then Clonmany Village is a ten-minute stroll from the house and has many bars that will be sure to provide you with a good pint of Guinness.

Very clean overall, with very nice bathrooms attached to each bedroom and a very modern kitchen. It was a great base for our activities around Donegal and beyond. There is a nice pub or two and a very good coffee shop with excellent food, coffee and service a short walk into Clonmany. Wish we had discovered it earlier in our stay
