Magic is the word...
If you are looking for a luxurious property that has something magical about it and can sleep up to 19 adults and 5 children, then this hacienda may be a good choice. The hacienda consists of 6 independent villas with a total of 10 bedrooms, surrounded by 18.000 m2 of gardens and nature. It has 2 swimming pools and a sauna for 10 people.
Situation and exteriors
This hacienda is a magnificent concept of a South African architect who fell in love with Andalusia and decided to develop the local architecture with all its finesse. Four of the villas are situated within the old hacienda surrounding a round swimming pool in the courtyard. The fifth villa, with 1 bedroom, is somewhat more secluded and situated on a lower level. Each villa has its own private patio or terrace for sunbathing. The round pool (10m in diameter) is very suitable for families with children and is surrounded by lush vegetation and shade. The other pool is rectangular (11m x 4,5m, open all year round, optionally heated at extra charge), located on a lower level, very sunny, with wide and beautiful views over the landscape. The hacienda is situated in a beautiful green valley, between Casares and the Mediterranean, 15 minutes away from each other. There are numerous possibilities for leisure activities, for example horse riding, sailing trips or golf. For excursions, you can go to discover the Pueblos Blancos, Gibraltar, Ronda or you can cross the Strait and visit Tangier.
Interior and layout
It is not easy to explain the delightful feeling of spaciousness and natural light when you see the villas at the Hacienda for the first time. The architect has designed different levels within each villa and high beamed ceilings, creating space and a magical feeling. All villas have air conditioning, heating and satellite TV, making it an excellent choice for all seasons.
VILLA 1 (4 PERSONS): This villa is used as the main house, as both the kitchen and living/dining room are huge, so there is enough space to accommodate all guests when it comes to enjoying group meals. Any gourmet chef would be proud to cook here, with full equipment, dishwasher, and plenty of space to prepare a feast for all. It has a bar area and is ideal for entertaining, a lounge/dining area and stunning countryside views. It opens onto a south facing terrace under a pergola shaded by vines, ideal for al fresco dining. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and has an open fireplace in its natural stone wall which opens onto a balcony with a beautiful view over the valley. An attractive staircase leads to the second bedroom with en suite bathroom, from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the mountains, with bath, shower and separate WC and bidet.
VILLA 2 (2 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN): This villa has three levels, one bedroom with twin beds and a private bathroom on the upper floor, the kitchen and living room on the middle level, which opens onto a terrace with access to a sunny garden terrace shaded by a 250 year old cork oak tree. Also on this lower level is the second bedroom with double bed and open dressing room and bathroom and shower areas. An additional person can be accommodated in the dressing room where the sofa converts into a single bed. The newly built kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher. Its open plan design combines with the lounge to provide a very comfortable living area. The open fireplace is ideal to enjoy on a cold winter's night and perhaps a bottle of Rioja!
VILLA 3 (4 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN): This villa is the smallest of the two bedroom villas, but can comfortably accommodate more people. The architect and his wife lived in this villa while the renovations were being carried out. It is separate from the main building and is also arranged on two levels. The entrance is on the middle level, which is the living room and kitchen, with a half-level external staircase leading to a covered terrace and green garden to the south, overlooking the second swimming pool. Upstairs there is a bedroom, dressing room and en suite bathroom. This villa is ideal for a larger family. The second bedroom is downstairs also with en-suite bathroom; the dressing room is designed to accommodate 2 people as it has 2 additional single beds (on request).
VILLA 4 (2 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD): Formally the master suite of the property, this casita-villa is ideal for those with romance in mind. Attached to the main house by a covered porch, it is the only villa with a hot tub and is literally two steps from the pool. La Casita has its own patio with Moorish fountain which naturally cools the villa in summer (you can resort to air conditioning if you prefer). Wake up to views of the Sierra Bermeja from the double bed. In addition to central heating, an open cast iron fireplace adds to the ambience.
VILLA 5 (2 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD): Separate from the other villas, this casita was originally built to live in while the other villas were being built. Perhaps less impressive in its architecture, this villa offers the most privacy of all the villas and is only a short walk across the lawn to one of the two swimming pools. The vine covered terrace is an ideal winter sun trap as well as a shady retreat from the summer heat. The bedroom has twin beds with en-suite shower room. The living room has round wooden beamed ceilings and an open fireplace. A panoramic window seat is a lovely place to view Sierra Bermeja and can be converted into a large single bed.
VILLA 6 (2 PERSONS): Not really a villa but a separate bedroom located next to the sauna on the opposite side of the round pool. It is equipped with 2 single beds, a large flat screen TV and a private bathroom with washbasin, shower and WC.
Notes:
- In order to promote responsible electricity consumption, electricity is not included in the price and must be paid according to consumption on departure. The cost per kW is 0,40 € (the approximate cost is between 150 € and 250 € per week; the rental price has been reduced proportionally).
- The rectangular swimming pool is heated. It is optional at a cost of 120 € per week.
- The outdoor Jacuzzi is optional at a cost of 100 € per week.
- Air conditioning and Wifi internet connection are included in the price.
- The finca is rented exclusively to only one group at a time. Therefore, each group will enjoy the absolute privacy of all the grounds, gardens, swimming pools and parking spaces.
