The house is located in the hills above Sao Vincente, which offers exceptional views from the property and is centrally located in Madeira, making it a great jumping off point to explore the island. The house was spacious and clean.
I was happy to be in the quiet of the hills in a residential neighbourhood, but you will have to drive to most places. If you are looking to be in the thick of a social scene, this is probably not your top pick.

The property manager was not responsive to my messages requesting check-in information the morning of our check-in. I had to contact VRBO customer service for assistance. The villa was somewhat clean. There were cigarette butts in the widow sills that made the place stink. The views were nice. Altho...
