Why didn't I receive my booking confirmation?
If you've booked a property for your vacation through Holidu, Booking.com, or Airbnb and can't find your booking confirmation email, don't worry. Here are some helpful steps to locate your confirmation.
Step 1: Search in your email inbox
Your booking confirmation may not appear in your main inbox. Check the following folders:
- Your received/inbox folder
- Spam and junk folder
- Promotions tab (if using Gmail)
- Other mail tabs
Confirmation emails sometimes get filtered automatically. Be sure to search through all these locations using your booking reference or confirmation number.
Step 2: Check your booking account
For Holidu bookings
If you have a Holidu guest account registered with us:
- Log in to your Holidu account
- Go to "My bookings"
- Find your booking and note the booking ID
- Search your email inbox using this booking ID to locate which folder the confirmation email went to
For Booking.com bookings
When you book a property through Holidu via Booking.com, you should receive two emails:
- A confirmation email from Booking.com containing your confirmation booking reference and PIN (confidential) - sent to the email address registered with Booking.com
- A confirmation email from Holidu (if your payment was confirmed) containing your booking ID and host contact details
To find your booking details:
- Log into your Booking.com account
- Go to the "Bookings" section
- Find your booking reference
- Search your email inbox with this booking reference
If you still cannot find the Booking.com confirmation email, visit Booking.com Help to request they resend it to you.
For Airbnb bookings
When you book through Holidu via Airbnb, your confirmation email including the check-in form link is sent through the chat directly. To access your booking details:
- Log into your Airbnb account
- Go to "Trips"
- View your reservation details, including your booking reference within the message thread with the host
- Search your email inbox with the booking reference to locate which folder the confirmation email from Holidu went to
Why might you not have received your confirmation email?
- Email filtering: Confirmation emails are frequently caught by spam filters or automatically sorted into secondary tabs
- Incorrect email address: Double-check that the email address you used during booking is correct
- Email server issues: Occasionally, emails may be delayed due to server problems
- Payment not confirmed: Some booking platforms only send confirmation emails after payment is fully processed
What information should be in your booking confirmation?
Your booking confirmation email should typically include:
- Booking reference or confirmation number
- Property address and check-in/check-out dates
- Guest name and contact information
- Host name and contact details
- Total price and payment information
- Check-in instructions or links to access them
- Cancellation policy details
