How the Holidu Rating System Works
How do guests rate properties on Holidu?
Guests can rate their overall stay on a scale of 1 to 5, where 1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest. You can also provide subscores for specific categories including location, cleanliness, description accuracy, and value for money. Additional comments about your stay or travel type are welcome.
How is the overall property rating calculated?
The overall property rating is calculated by averaging all individual scores submitted by guests.
Who Can Leave a Review?
Who is eligible to leave a review?
Only guests who booked and completed a stay via Holidu can leave a review. Reviews can be submitted anonymously or with your first name and the first initial of your last name.
What if I booked through a partner website?
If you booked via a partner website, their review terms and conditions will apply instead of Holidu's guidelines.
Can I edit or delete my review?
To edit or delete a review submitted through Holidu, please contact our Customer Service team.
What Reviews Do We Display?
Where do the reviews shown on Holidu come from?
We display reviews from both Holidu guests and trusted partner websites to give you the full picture of a property. You may see individual reviews with written text and scores, aggregated ratings compiled from multiple guests, and additional reviewer information such as travel party type or country of origin.
How are reviews sorted on property pages?
Reviews are sorted by date of booking and whether they include written text. Other filters like guest type or rating score may also be available to help you find the most relevant reviews.
Why don't I see all reviews on a property page?
For fairness, negative reviews below a certain score are only displayed if a property has at least two reviews in total.
Review Compliance Standards
What types of content are not allowed in reviews?
The following are not permitted in reviews:
- References to illegal activities
- Politically or religiously sensitive remarks
- Promotional content or external links
- Personal details such as emails, phone numbers, or names
- Profanity, hate speech, threats, or violent content
- Fake or spam content
- Impersonation of others
- Host-written reviews or incentivised reviews
