The Booking Modification feature lets you handle guest requests to change a booking directly from your Holidu account, enabling you to respond to guests faster and maintain better control over your calendar.

Context: What is Booking Modification?

Previously, booking modification requests from guests on Airbnb or Booking.com required intermediary steps and manual coordination. Now, these requests are managed directly in your Holidu account, giving you a clearer view of each request and complete decision-making power over your availability.

  • Better visibility: All modification requests are centralized in one place, so you never miss an important guest request.

How Does This Process Work?

Step 1: Receive Notifications

You'll receive notifications via email and the Holidu app whenever there's a booking modification request. Make sure that push notifications are enabled in the Holidu app to receive real-time alerts.

Step 2: View Requests in Your Account

Requests will appear on your home page and booking overview in your Holidu account and in the Holidu app. This centralized location makes it easy to track all pending modification requests.

Step 3: Review Key Details

When you open a modification request, you'll see important information to help you make an informed decision:

  • Duration changes (number of nights)
  • Guest count adjustments
  • Date modifications (check-in and check-out dates)
  • Updated earnings based on the proposed modification

Step 4: Make Your Decision

After reviewing the request details, you can accept or reject it with one click. The process is straightforward and requires minimal effort on your part.

Step 5: Guest Notification and Automatic Updates

Once you've made your decision, the guest will be notified automatically. If you've accepted the modification, updated booking details will be shared with the guest right away.

Important Considerations

Special Pricing Requests: If you want to accept a modification with a different price than originally quoted, please reach out to Holidu's Customer Support team so your request can be handled appropriately.

Push Notifications: To receive real-time notifications from the Holidu app, ensure that push notifications are enabled in your device settings.

Where Does This Apply?

This Booking Modification feature is currently available for the following platforms:

  • Airbnb
  • Booking.com

These channels were prioritized because they generate the highest volume of modification requests from guests. As we continue to roll out this feature, additional platforms may be supported in the future.

Gradual Rollout: During the initial phase, some modification requests may still follow the previous process through our customer support team. This helps us ensure a smooth transition and maintain service quality as we expand the feature.
