CIN - National Identification Code for Italian Properties
Italy's Ministry of Tourism has introduced a regulation to promote fairness and transparency in the short-term rental market. As part of Decreto Anticipi No. 145/2023, all non-hotel accommodation providers, including holiday rental hosts, are required to obtain a National Identification Code (CIN).
What is the CIN?
The CIN is a unique national identification code assigned to each rental property. It serves as an official registration number that identifies your property in Italy's rental database and demonstrates compliance with tourism regulations.
Key Dates and Requirements
- Law effective date: November 2, 2024
- Compliance deadline: January 1, 2025
- Action required: All rental properties must obtain and display their CIN
