As a private host on Holidu, verifying your account confirms your identity and payout information, allowing you to receive payments and maintain full access to your hosting privileges.

Important: This verification process can only be completed by the host (the primary account holder in your Holidu account).

Preparation: Gather Your Documents

Before you begin the verification process, ensure you have the following documents ready. Please note that Adyen does not accept scanned documents. Only clear photos or official digital downloads of original documents will be accepted.

  • Official identification (passport, driving license, or national ID)
  • Proof of bank account ownership (such as a bank statement or deposit slip)
  • If you are a freelancer, sole trader, or sole proprietor, your registration number

Step-by-Step Verification Process

Step 1: Start Verification in Your Account

  • Log in to your Holidu host account
  • Navigate to the Account tab
  • Click on Validate to begin the verification process
  • You may be asked to sign a new agreement — simply accept to continue. This will not change your pricing

Step 2: Verify Your Personal Information

  • Click on Personal Details
  • Review the information that is pre-filled from your Holidu account
  • If any information needs editing, click Edit and update the details accordingly
  • Ensure all required fields are completed accurately
  • Click Next to proceed
  • Select whether your bank account is registered in your personal name or under your sole proprietorship (if applicable)
  • If you are a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, provide your registration number and business address
  • Click Next to continue

Step 3: Confirm Your Address

  • Enter your address in the search field and the system will autofill the details
  • Important: Verify that your address matches exactly the address on your ID document
  • If your billing address differs from your personal address on your ID, update it to match your ID document address

Step 4: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document

You have two verification options to choose from:

Instant Verification (Recommended)

  1. Select the country that issued your ID document
  2. Choose your document type: passport, driving license, or ID card
  3. Confirm that your document matches the personal information you have entered
  4. Scan the QR code provided or receive a link via SMS on your phone
  5. Take clear, high-quality photos of both sides of your document
  6. Submit for immediate verification

Manual Verification

  1. Select your document type
  2. Upload clear, high-quality photos of your ID document from your computer
  3. Ensure both front and back of the document are clearly visible
  4. Click Next to submit
  5. Allow up to 72 hours for the verification team to review your documents

Step 5: Verify Your Payout Details

  • Confirm that your bank account name matches the personal information you provided in the previous steps
  • Choose one of the two verification options below

Instant Verification

  1. Select your online banking provider from the list
  2. Log in to your bank account through Tink, our trusted partner
  3. Your login information is never stored — it is only used for verification purposes
  4. Complete the verification process

Manual Verification

  1. Enter your complete bank details (including IBAN)
  2. Upload a recent bank document from the last 12 months
  3. The document must clearly show your name, IBAN, and for non-EU residents, the bank location
  4. Click Next to submit
  5. Allow up to 72 hours for verification

Step 6: Verify Sole Proprietor or Sole Trader Details (If Applicable)

If you are registering as a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, provide the following information:

  • Your business legal name as it appears on official registration documents
  • Your registration number (or indicate if you do not have one)
  • Your business address, ensuring it matches your legal address on file

Step 7: Complete Your Verification

  • If you chose Instant Verification, your account status should update immediately
  • If you chose Manual Verification, allow up to 72 hours for processing
  • You can track your verification status in your Holidu account
  • Your status will change from "In Review" to "Complete" once the process is finished

  • Document clarity: Ensure all photos and documents are clear, well-lit, and fully visible with no glare or shadows
  • Information consistency: Verify that the information on all documents matches exactly, particularly names and addresses
  • Email monitoring: Keep your inbox monitored as we may need to contact you with updates or requests for additional information
  • Avoid scanned copies: Submit only clear photographs or official digital versions of documents
