Conceived in 1853 as an escape route from the Royal Palace, the Bourbon Tunnel represents an emotional journey through the history of the underground of Naples. Of particular interest is how it was used during WW2, and a guide will take you to bomb shelters stocked with provisions and 1940s cars and scooters still parked there from the war.
