The area and getting around

One of the world's most beautiful continents

Fancy a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower in France or the Christmas lights in Georgia? Then book a holiday home in any of these destinations today! Perched between Asia, Africa and America continents, Europe is endowed with sprawling beaches, modern yet lively cities, friendly locals, and a myriad of natural spectacles; enough to suffice any visitor. Europe's proximity of all of its countries makes it easy for any vacationer to access and move around. Fly to popular tourist attractions in France, Greece, United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and Ireland, but don't forget to explore historical and natural treasures hidden in lesser-known countries like Belgium, Russia, Turkey and Portugal.

The central tourist hub in the Northern Hemisphere

Interconnected with vast stretches of the well-established railway and road networks, the countries of Europe serve as tourist focal points for surrounding continents. To the west, originally called Novus Mundus (New World), America boasts of lofty status in the world's economy. Fly further north, and you get to Russia, a country that offers a variety of historical sites in both of its major cities - St Petersburg and Moscow. If you yearn to mingle with people of different cultures, sail east to any of Asia's countries, a culinary-rich region better explored with a fork on hand!

Travellers and activities

Europe for beach lovers

Are you looking to mix fun, nightlife, sun and art along the beach? Look no further than Europe - home to the world's most iconic seas (the Mediterranean is a favourite for many). Windsurf in the morning and shop for the trendiest beachwear, before enjoying sunset drinks and partying till dawn. There are hundreds, perhaps thousands of possibilities within flying distance. Enjoy the azure water and soft sandy beaches of Mallorca, inhale the divine aroma of the lavenders in Hvar or marvel at the pink sand and tranquil atmosphere of Crete.

Europe for history lovers

there's a good reason why people refer to Europe as the Ancient continent: it has had an enduring yet torturous history so far, from the deadly aftermaths of the world wars to the gruesome traditions of the Roman Empire. Tour Lascaux and discover a unique selection of Stone Age artefacts, or fly to Rome and admire the largest amphitheatre ever built- the Colosseum. Fancy an indulging archaeological experience? Head out to the ghostly ruins of old Pompeii or visit Sarajevo for a tour to ancient synagogues and mosques.

Travelling goes beyond sight-seeing. It is a change that improves our energy and relaxation, and the ideas of living.

Top 5 travel tips in Europe

1 Romance in Paris

Paris and love, they rhyme together like cafe and croissants, champagne and oysters, which is why romantic couples make a pilgrimage visit to the French city on Valentine's. Stroll hand-in-hand through the pleasant cobbled streets of Morais and Montmartre, which tend to get more enchanting at every corner. Or rather, savour the gastronomy of Paris' world-class restaurants with a backdrop of glorious architecture.

2 Enjoy the Northern Lights from Reykjavik

A trip to Iceland would be incomplete if you don't get to gaze at the rare and beautiful Northern Lights. You can see them from downtown Reykjavik, but the best spot to view them within the city is at Seltjarnarnes. Stroll to the picturesque locale of Grotta so that you take a snap with the fascinating lights glaring in the background.

3. Taste everything in Barcelona

Dine like a Catalonian and devour the local delicacies the right way. Have breakfast twice! You're sure to get a good aperitif in Barcelona when you give the food the attention it deserves. Find one of the rustic bodegas (wine shops), or better so, nibble on some of the locally made cheese and cured meat. Don't forget to catch the afternoon snack - Merienda, and use it as an excuse to check out some of Europe's best pastry shops.

4. Experience Greek antiquity

Are you a history buff? Plan a visit to Greece and marvel at the Acropolis, widely regarded as the world's most precious monument. The citadel, which overlooks the city of Athens, is where visual arts meets architecture in fine proportions.

5.Mingle exploring the Hague Market

Haggle your way through the more than 500 rustic stalls on a sunny afternoon all year long. Nestling between Transvaal and Schilderswijk, Hague Market is the biggest outdoor market in Europe. From exotic goods and computer products to confectionery and classy attire, there's always something for everyone!
